Some Feedback
As you may have read in the last report, all three of the locomotives in our care were at work last weekend, it appears that their performance was appreciated – as you can tell from these messages which came into 5305la Webquarters in the last couple of days:
I would just like to pass on my thanks to all of the hard working team for the performance of 45305 on RTC's "Coast to Coast" on Saturday 2nd July. It was an outstanding and most enjoyable performance, both from the loco and crew; particularly the long suffering support crew! :-) The loco was turned out immaculately and was a credit to all. The challenging climb to Miles Platting and the long ascent to Summit Tunnel westbound from Wakefield will remain with me for a very long time; the music from the front end was truly superb! Again, my thanks to all. Regards, A. Kennett.
70013 got a mention in despatches as well:
A brief testimonial: I was at Hatfield Peverel on Saturday when 70013 thundered through. Awesome! Paul Holt.
Many thanks to the people who sent these compliments, and also to the various people who have complimented the engines and the association elsewhere on the internet – it’s always good to know that people have enjoyed seeing these locomotives performing – that’s what we do it for.
