There's a busy couple of weeks ahead for one of our charges: the National Railway Museum's Class 7 Pacific No. 70013 "Oliver Cromwell", I think that this comment sent round by the 5305 LA Support Crew Rostering Officer with the latest Forward Diary sums it up admirably: "We embark on a very intensive period of main line working, with 70013 operating on eight days* between the 2nd and 13th April, no repeat itineraries, and including visits to Penzance and Inverness. This is probably the most complicated yet undertaken by 5305LA. Good luck to all concerned."
*The eight days' operation includes engine & van moves, which still need support crew input even though they don't carry any passengers.
I'll try to keep you up to date and informed of progress during the next couple of weeks, as and when I have news to share.
