After a successful weekend at the East Lancashire Railway’s Gala, 70013 and 30777 have begun their Main Line season for 2010 with a light engine run together to Tyseley, where the Arthur is going to spend the next few weeks undergoing a routine axlebox exam at Tyseley Loco Works. After dropping the Arthur inside at Tyseley, 70013 “Oliver Cromwell” and a very shiny 14099 carried on south to Southall ready for the Brit’s first trip: The Sussex Belle on Wednesday 24th February. We would like to thank everybody at the ELR for their hospitality over the weekend, the many people who turned out to the ELR to see them and the other locos at the Gala, and of course, to thank the West Coast Crews who worked the engines south.
